The French Baguette

The French Baguette

This easy homemade baguette recipe delivers bakery-quality bread with minimal effort. With just flour, warm water, salt, and a touch of baking powder, the dough comes together in minutes and rises slowly for a light, airy texture. After resting at room temperature and chilling to develop flavour, the dough is shaped—twisted or straight—and generously floured for easy handling. Baked until golden at 200°C, these rustic baguettes come out crisp on the outside and soft inside, perfect for sandwiches, soups, or enjoying warm with butter. A simple, reliable recipe for fresh bread any day.
