Ingredients

2 cans of sardine fillets in oil
1 small shallot
5 chive blades
1 lemon
2 tbsp cream cheese
Salt, pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain the sardine fillets, take off the skin, bone and head. Mash with a fork in a bowl.
  2. Chop the shallot and washed chives. Mix with the sardines
  3. Add in the cream cheese.
  4. Squeeze the lemon and add ¾ of the juice to the preparation. Season with a bit of salt and a lot of pepper.
  5. Mix with a fork to get an homogeneous mixture.
  6. Cover and put in the fridge. Spread on toasts before serving.
