Ingredients

½I milk
½ I liquid cream
100 g caster sugar
8 egg yolks
2 vanilla pods
100 g brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to low heat.
  2. Mix the milk and the cream.
  3. Add the vanilla pods split in the middle with half of the caster sugar.
  4. Boil the mixture and allow to cool.
  5. Mix the egg yolks with the remaining caster sugar.
  6. Remove the vanilla pods from the milk mixture and pour the egg yolks in.
  7. Pour the cream in cups and bake for 45 min.
  8. Allow to cool and put them in the fridge for 4h minimum.
  9. Sprinkle with the brown sugar just before serving.
  10. Place under a very hot grill to caramelize and serve immediately.
